This came to my attention via reddit.com, and it’s one of those simple and brilliant ideas that just slaps a smile all over your face, no matter what kind of day you’re having.
It’s a silly front for a non-profit organisation which encourages and tutors kids aged 6-18, and helps them get creative (once a month one of their stories gets published and put into the store for people to purchase). And it reels people in and stays in business by selling everything from dinosaur eggs and chain mail to robot milk and ray guns.
It’s a sweet and wonderful reminder that hey, maybe we’re not doomed as a species after all. Read all about it here: http://californiathroughmylens.com/time-travel-mart-echo-park
